On the occasion of India’s 63rd independence day viz 15th August, 2009, I greet all Indian readers of this blog, whereever they are, a very warm happy independence day. I too will be busy attending one flag hoisting and then actually hoisting the flag myself in another function. Later on, when I come back, I will try and post a few more songs for the occasion.
Before I leave, here is this patriotic song from “Shaheed”(1965). This great song is written and composed by Prem Dhawan, and is sung amazingly well be Rafi. It is picturised on Manoj Kumar (playing Bhagat Singh) and others.
This song has two versions, viz a faster version and a slower version. Here is this song full with patriotic fervour.
